Great Standby Generator

I ordered the Briggs & Stratton 18KW (Natural Gas) Intelligen Generator and automatic transfer switch for standby emergency service. It came quickly as promised.
The plumber (for natural gas hook-up) and electrician had no problems connecting the unit to the house and it worked perfectly on the first try.
The service disconnect transfer switch is great since it connects to and uses the main breaker in the house so there is no limit, other than overall load, to the number of breakers as there is with some other brand units. The wiring diagrams in the installation manual were excellent, so the electrician had no problem.
However, the connection is fairly complicated I would not recommend that anyone except a qualified electrician attempt to install it. The unit powers my whole 3,600 sq. ft. home. I turned almost everything on including clothes dryer, AC, and oven to tax the unit, but it didn't miss a beat - not even a flicker.
The only sign that a high usage item was turned-on was the sound from the engine as it adjusted.
