I'm in a WheelChair, and need power 24/7. This Generac runs my whole house. I have 2 full kitchens -2 ovens -2 Ref. -2 big freezers - 5 ton AC it has no trouble running it all. Also 2 Air matt. 96 lights.

We installed the Generac a year and half ago and wasn't till last week the power went out. It performed flawlessly for the 2 hours until power was restored. We are glad to have such a nice product and feel comfortable about forth coming power outages.

2 control boards recalled. Blown engine and blown electrical head all within Three years and light use. Now has been down 5 weeks waiting for parts during record heatwave. Very disappointed in what I thought was a good old reliable product and company.

One day after years of being at the will and pleasure of Mother Nature I rebelled and placed my faith and Family under the care of Generac. As the unit was being installed I could tell how well the unit was built. This appears to be the best idea and best way to take care of family and friends. Customer service contacts have been great. They are there,, the unit is there and we feel safe. THANK YOU

The generator is finally fully installed, up and running. Besides looking good, the fully automatic functions will now add security in bad weather should there be a power outage.While the generator was running, my next door neighbor was cutting his lawn. Standing next to the generator having a normal level conversation, my electrician and I could hear the lawn mover over both our talking and the generator running. The service and delivery from Electric Generators Direct was fantastic, as was contact with the people there by phone.

After Hurricane Irene, I told my wife I was going to buy a generator. Weather got nice and I forgot. After Hurricane Sandy and after spending days and weeks in hotels, I said enough! I then ordered a Generac 20kw generator in December. It was installed in April and works like a dream.
To all of you thinking of buying and installing one, don't wait, DO IT TODAY!!!

Less than one month after installation March 2013, we were hit with a power outage, and to my surprised, the Generac 20KW took less than 10 secs for it to start and then ran the whole time, approx 25 hours without any problems. Since it is a managed whole house system, the ATS did its job and managed the 4 priorities we decided on - water pump, furnace, air/heating, stove. My home network of computers and printers and DIRECTV all functioned quite normally during the time of the utility outage. The fuel used was about 5% of the 300 gal Propane Fuel and that pleased me even more. Every Monday at 3:00pm, it does its automatic checks and so far I am totally pleased with the performance and the noise level, which surprised my neighbors quite a bit. The neighbors closer to my house, thought I had utility power during the outage, until I told them it was the generator power at work during that time. I am thankful I made the investment, even though I am military retired and investing $9500 for the entire system, installation and fuel, it was worth it. Waiting for the next outage to occur, hopefully minor ones and not the destructive ones I have been reading and hearing about.

Everything as promised happened, They shipped it the next day and it arrived in Texas 4 days later. They unloaded the unit and took it to my garage which is no easy task. Tried to tip the driver and he said it was his job and if i had a water that would be great. Install took one day with a very good installer. The only true surprise was the cost to upgrade the gas meter. A little high from what i have researched but what can you do with a monopoly.
Ran great and they showed my wife how to trouble shoot if i was not home and it dint start as it should. She was not happy at first but when she saw how quickly it starts and provides power she said "Your right Sweetheart!"
