Good Choice For Portable 240V Power, But Fragile Plastic Housing

Relatively quiet and lightweight for a 120/240V unit. Our unit was shipped during cold weather and arrived with multiple housing parts broken. I chose to repair rather than return (and incur charges). But the parts took months and the repair wasn't easy. I've since gotten it put together and verified that it runs and puts out 120V power. I didn't bother to test the 240V power.

Inverter power with long runtime and very quiet compared to others. Some fit and trim issues out of the box however. The wheels attach with push on clips...not, will not seat, wheels fall off...will replace with all thread shaft and unlock nuts.
Cover has to be removed for oil check requires phillip screw driver....one nut clip retainer is missing (will get replacement from hardware store). Cover should be removable without needing screwdriver. No fuel shutoff valve, requires to run unit dry for storage, took over 1/2 hour after siphoning the tank dry. No lifting points for picking up with hoist, too heavy to muscle up into truck for transport, will need to improvise lifting sling. Otherwise good generator with clean power

If you are in the market for a large inverter generator you don’t exactly have a ton of options. If you want a 240v capable inverter generator you can either drop $4k + on a Honda or you can make a few compromises and take a chance with this one for a quarter the price. The main comprises are the following:
1. This is not a true sine wave inverter, it is a modified sine wave. The only time this can be an issue is with some ac motors and cheap microwaves. So far, it drives my hvac blower great and runs my garage door opener fine. I want to test on my RV ac, but I’m guessing it will run fine.
2. There is no electric start. This really is not that bad, it starts 1st or 2nd pull even at really cold (0F) temps.
