My Second review!!!

So far I would say it's still a EXCELLENT CHOICE; we ran the generator for 35 hours with no problem. It ran the whole house after the Sandy Storm and also helped a neighbor.

*****Most Important- 5 gallon of gas got me 13 hours on a half load.*******

First Review!!!!!

I recently picked up a Generac XG8000E, a 30 amp CableMaster (4 prong), and a Reliance Controls 30-Amp (4-Prong) Power Inlet Box and had my home set up by an electrician. He used an interlock plate on the main panel. The interlock plate allows you to choose what to run on your main panel- it's a very nice setup.

The Generac XG8000E generator ran for 30 minutes: 1 compressor, 2 air handlers, 1 fridge, 1 freezer, 3 TVs, 3 cable boxes, 1 router, 1 modem, 1 laser printer, & 5 lights. The generator was running 3/4 power on the LED display. The Cablemaster cable worked well with all the equipment.

I WOULD SAY EXCELLENT CHOICE OF ALL PRODUCTS.

I used a Deltran Motorcycle Battery Tender for the generator battery, since the charger that comes with the Generac is a once-a-month charger and not convincing to me.

I have not had to use the CableMaster power cord yet (thank god) but, I feel it will do the job when needed based on the quality and the construction of it.

Thanks, Jim for your help.

Quailty power cords

I liked the fact that the plugs were molded on to the cords, this should help keep dirt and moisture out.

The tapered molded strain relief between the cable and plug will be an aid in ensuring durability of this typical weak spot.

It is the attention to details that often make products outstanding.
