The Cummins Onan 5.5kW is also a nice model that will handle most light and medium use applications.
The Cummins Onan has the benefit of a Sound-Attenuating Enclosure with a Thru Flow Cooling System so the noise volume is lower. By selecting a propane model, you are also helping reduce noise volume.
In addition to superior noise reduction and fuel efficiency, one-touch start and self-diagnostic technology make this unit easy to operate.
The perfect LP unit for Class B and C motor homes, sport utility trailers, towable applications and fifth wheels with a single or dual roof air conditioning.
This generator is another great item, but may not power your entire RV. Before buying this generator make sure you know the minimum amount of power you desire especially considering a propane model can reduce power output by up to 10%.

Went together quick. Just a bit clumsy getting her into mounting compartment. Haven't used it yet except for full and partial load tests. Looks like she will drink quite a bit of LPG under extended full load. Shall see 👀

I have had my 5500 for a while and it now has almost 300 hours on it. LP gen sets are so reliable and simple to maintain...just change the oil and filter and they are ready to go. It is smooth and quiet, but I do wish I had bought the 6500. I run 13000 and 15000 ac units. Sometimes it will not allow my generator to connect because of the start up load. If I get one running and then start the second one, it will work for a while, but as soon as they shut down and try to restart, the problem returns. So, I usually just run my 15000 while on generator. It along with all of my other ac demand works just fine. I usually get about 12 hours on a 40 pound canister of LP. The 6500 is actually more fuel efficient...

I have envied these generators for several years. I recently purchased a newer 5th wheel RV which came with the Onan 5,500 LP generator. It is very handy to have, quiet, reliable electrical power whenever you need it. I like it so much I now tell my friends I purchased a new generator and they threw in the trailer to carry it. I have used smaller, cheaper gas power generators but they were noisy, smelly and were manual starting. The new Onan genset is electric start and I am very pleased with it. I think it will serve us well for many years to come.
