I only use this generator for three months and now it takes me three months to repair and still not done. They don't assist return after the product been used.

Be cautious of poor ratings, this is likely due to people not reading instructions.Followed directions to prepare to start, started so fast it surprised me. Hooked to 5th wheel and tried AC and misc. Shut off with remote.
The only con is the remote is really only useful to shut down because you probably need to turn choke on to start, that function is not on remote. I would think the choke should be electric and automatic. This is really not a big deal because you really should look over generator before starting to be safe and check oil or fuel.

Unit had came with faulty spark plugI put in a irridium, and off to the race. It seems real solid, great 171 cc phoenix fathead engine.

A good looking generator a little heavy, right out of the box and the battery is no good, how can I get a replacement? Can you help me with that I can send it back if i can get a new one. So for now I have been pull starting it. I've called the phone number given, for 5 straight days but on hold for so long hug up. So getting the chance now to find out how to get a replacement. Please let me know .Thank you

I would suggest trying a battery charger to see if you can the battery charged enough to start. I would suggest contacting Firman directly @ (844) 347-6261. They might cover the battery under warranty.

Cost was good. Came quick. Unit has small battery and needed charging before first run. Started good first time on manual and then manual electric start. Ran it for awhile with 800watt hair drier with no problem. Tried remote start and trouble began. Control unit (i.m.o) not recognizing startup and activated starter several times before shutting down. 5/20/2020 Contacted Firman via their 'Service Web' with short wait for reply. Was asked to look for signs of a short per contact person, Staff Account (Laramee), instructions. Found nothing out of sorts. 5/27/2020 Staff Account (Laramee) advised me ECM probably BO. and requested a good shipping address and I supplied both postal and physical address. AS OF TODAY, 6/24/2020, I AM STILL WAITING. I feel I may have to use it without the remote start which was a primary requirement.Now granted there is the virus to contend with but, Awe Come On. ATM I cannot recommend this product.
Will also have to request 2 new fuel jets as it comes with a very low altitude (sea level) jet. I live at 2900ft elevation and will use generator at 5000-7000ft and 8000-91000ft. elevations.

I was hoping to use the remote to start the genny in the morning so I don't have to go out to start it but it doesn't work like that. Other than that it is a great genny. It starts great, it runs great, has plenty of power, and is actually really quiet
