Generac's XC8000E portable generator, model number 6826, is equipped with idle control, an hour meter and full panel GFCI protection to minimize fuel consumption rates as well as sound output ratings. Electric start capabilities also allow users to easily start the unit in outdoor applications. All routine maintenance areas are easily accessible and a tool-less oil drain makes servicing the unit a breeze. Awesome Gen That Will Pull 60amps No Problem

It is worth it. The generator runs cool inside of my 36” box on my food truck. I have awesome air continually blowing through the box to keep it at the right temp to keep on running. This powers my 19gal water heater, charges my battery for my inverter, Runs my 13,500 btu AC unit, runs my hood, freezer, fridge, prep fridge, electric steamer and all my electronics as my POSand necessities with no problem. Inside the sound prof box it’s a nice and quite hum instead of that loud piercing sound. It is even quite outside of the box.

We have been using this generator in two service vans for six years. We needed to replace one this fall and went back to the Generac XC8000E. It has all the features we need 110V/220V, GFCI protection and then some. We remove the fuel tank and relocate the control panel and the wheel kit and the unit is still sturdy enough for the under carriage mounting we use. We will continue to use PED as they have dependable supply.

Love the electric start. Excellent mobility with the large wheels and handle bar. Quiet for a generator this size. Pressurized engine lubrication with oil filter should insure long engine life.

The XC8000E is exactly as described. It is more expensive, but its built to withstand being hauled around a job site. I got it just for a backup generator for power outages so I'm sure it'll stand up to being pulled in/out of the barn when needed. After all, what good is a low quality generator if it doesn't work when you most need it. It was easy to assemble and the electric start is very nice, it started right up. If a reliable and durability unit is what you need, this is the unit for you.

This is a relatively new model (XC8000E) so not many reviews are available. This was described as a professional grade contractor model and it looks it. Well put together, easy to service, with logical well laid out controls. Assembly of the wheels, lifting bar, and feet was easy. I was able to do it by myself. It started easily the first time and I ran it about 15 minutes under a very light load. I use only 93 octane ethanol free gas with gas stabilizer added. About 10 days later I exercised it for an hour with a 20% resistive load. Will continue exercising it in this manner. Using a Battery Tender Jr. to keep the battery fully charged. It will be used mainly as a emergency generator powering some essential appliances.
