The company that deliver the generator ( ABF Freight) was great. The lift gate option is not available with this heavy generator, however ABF said they could do it, if ordered by EGF. So I called EGD and asked them to add the lift gate and from there on, it was smooth. The driver helped me get it all the way in to my driveway. Super nice guy.
All the other issues with shipping delays worked out. It was pushed to November, but suddenly I get a message that it was moved up!
The installer was not able to install it prior to Ida, but at least is here and already on the concrete pad.
Can't attest to the functionality of the generator, I just hope bit works flawlessly.

I Get To Use My New Generac All The Time It Seems

I paid to have mine installed, complete turn key, not because it was above my abilities, but the shear # of people that participated in the install just makes it not so much a DIY.
The first week this was installed, my power went off 4 times, mind you, and hour here, and hour there, it's a pain in the arse. Wifey is at home while I'm at work, so it needs to be seamless, and it is.
My unit has been installed for just over a year, zero issues, all praise. I think the timer said I had 30+ events and around 40 hours of backup use. Since I have all 4 seasons, I don't want to do without, heat, AC, lights etc.

The generator was picked-up from the freight company's yard. The shipping crate was in excellent condition, The transfer switch was stretch wrapped to it.
The generator was placed on a poured concrete pad 8" thick with conduit stub-up per drawings provided. All drawings were accurate. Installation instructions were complete with all necessary information supplied. The generator and transfer switch were of high quality design and construction. Only one item had to be corrected. The base plate wiring cover fastener holes were not tapped.
A check list is supplied to cover preliminary tests before starting the unit. Activation went easily with assistance converting software to propane fuel. The generator started immediately upon commissioning. All electrical controls operated as designed. The generator was tested and then loaded to half rated output. A data logger was connected to verify performance. Generac has paid attention to the details necessary to allow dependability and longevity.
Closing Note: Installation of this unit is beyond the scope of the normal homeowner project.

The recommended installer has decided not to install my Generator because I did not buy it from him. There doesn't seem to be anyone else in my area who is interested in installing it, so it sits outside completely useless. So, In spite of the fact I think it is a great product I can't really comment on performance because it is not hooked up. Make sure you have someone in your area who will install your generator even if they didn't sell it to you. Seriously! Rich

I am very happy with my new generator. I wanted the automotive engine and that is what made me decide on this model. I am very happy with my purchase. It is quiet and it runs everything in my house. My test run on a power failure it started and transferred flawlessly. I haven't had a major power outage yet, but I'm ready when I do. I expect no problems. I would recommend this generator.

Since we just purchased and had installed our new Generac 22kw, a few weeks ago, we found out about your free 10 yr. Extended warranty program. We would like to apply for that, please send us the information.
This is our second Generac Generator. Our first gave us good and dependable service for our home in the Sierra Nevada Moutains in California. We moved to a very remote home on the shore of TableRock Lake in Southwest Missouri. Occasionally,There are power outages and we want to be ready! Until I saw your info commercial on TV, I had no idea how antiquated the US power grid is and the potential of it being hacked and the loss of power to thousands of homes and people! To be honest, our unit is so new, it has not had the chance to run after a power outage!
However, we have a real piece of mind that we have the best backup generator that is available! As. Senior citizens, and all of the future issues we face, having a power outage is not one of them!
