The new Generac RXSW200A3 is the same automatic transfer switch that comes standard with the best-selling Generac 7043 standby generator system. This "Smart Switch" is unique because it comes equipped with Power Management Technology and A/C shedding already built-in to control four standard AC units. Best of all, if you have multiple high-voltage appliances, your electrician can install up to 4 more separate Power Management Modules (PMM) to protect your generator system from overloading. These come separately. The separate SMM modules are used to alternate up to 4 high-voltage appliances - like electric water heaters or well pumps. It basically allows you to energize your entire electrical panel - not just essential circuits. This 200-amp automatic transfer switch is service entrance rated. In simple terms, your electrician installs it between the meter and main electrical panel, which is a much easier and usually cheaper installation.

Almost all of the transfer switches I have installed have had the same problem directly from the factory. The lugs twist when tightening them on the transfer mechanism. There is no way to correct this without removing the mechanism. Very poor quality control. This is a serious problem.

I've bought several Generac generators from Electric Generators Direct and have yet to be disappointed with them. I mistakenly ordered the wrong transfer box last time and there was no problem returning it and getting a refund. Their shipping is extremely fast. I will continue to purchase through them only..

I am an electrical contractor and I needed a second 200 amp automatic transfer switch for a 400 amp service. I'm connecting two 200 amp automatic transfer switches to a 26KW Generac generator. Electricgeneratorsdirect.com is my go to for quick turnaround. I have a Generac account but they don't ship as fast as EGD does so when I need it timely this is where I go.

Only ONE punchout!

Box contains only (1), 2 3/8" punchout, in the top rear panel! My installation is bolting the panel to a block wall. Why no punchouts on the bottom? Why only 1? Why located only in the back, top? No side punchouts either! Now I have to make my own panel entry. In order to do that, I'll have to unbolt the panel inside and remove it to prevent possible metal shaving contamination. It would have been so simple if you provided multiple punchouts for different installation requirements. Very disappointed in the extra labor I now have to spend time and money on.

The switch will not transfer to generator. We have reviewed all wiring and verified connections. In process of waiting for a Generac service company to come out and possibly repair through warranty. If not could it be replaced at Electric Generators Direct ?
