Have not had the “pleasure” to use this to power my house in an actual power outage yet. Did do a test with electrician that wired up the transfer switch to my panel. Solo run was easy, started with out a hitch, ran quiet, really quiet.
Hooked to house and when we transferred over it picked up the load no problem, furnace happened to come on and had no issues.
Very easy to operate. Expect trouble free operation. Electrician recommended the Honda and while I cringed at the price, how quiet it was and the expected reliability and longevity should allow me to not regret the purchase.
I was worried about the THD rating as on the Honda power web site they don’t list it. I called Electric Gen Direct before buying and they said the Honda’s are all less then 5 % THD. Honda should advertise that.

Took 3 months to arrive...…..but did so just in the nick of time...….Polar Vortex hit Texas and we have been without power for 2 days.....so far. This generator has saved the day......even have the well pump running off of it along with specific circuits. AND.....it can be started or stopped via Bluetooth from inside the house...…..excellent feature and works perfectly.
I would highly recommend. Not necessarily quiet, but at 6500 watts it puts out a lot of power and in zero degree weather, noise is the least of the issues. Wish I had two of them.

Very easy to put together. Very quiet when it’s running under load. It also has large enough wheels to move easy over grass or gravel . Just a nice basic generator that does everything well.

Normal Honda quality - EXCELLENT !!!
Only problem I had was the CO2 monitor ("CO-minder) feature. Other than that, took it out of the box, installed the wheels and handle. added oil and gas, connected the battery, hit the start switch and it runs. Turned it off, connected it to my house (I have a manual switch to shift from line power to generator), fire it up and powered up my house.
Not the cheapest unit out there thus four stars on the "Value" But, on the other hand, with the Honda quality I expect to use this generator for the next ten to fifteen years so maybe I should give them five stars for "Value".

I Have An Earlier Model That Over 30 Years Old!

I bought mine in the late 80’s and it works just fine over the years. The only 2 repair items in the over 30 years have been two replacement batteries and one replacement carburetor. They weigh 250 lbs, so when I turned 88, I just replaced it with a propane automatic generator but that cost us $7-8,000. This portable one with a ramp can put in the back of most SUV’s and has been borrowed many times when I didn’t lose power. You can’t go wrong with a Honda generator!

The generator was delivered on a small pallet and in perfect condition. Assembly was easy. The engine started right up and runs like a Honda as expected. I have not been able to put a heavy load on the generator yet.

We live on the SW Florida coast, hurricane season looks mean, we needed a generator to keep the water pump going during the inevitable power outage- this monster fits the bill, will also run household appliances with no problem- would recommend totally/ thank you for having them available!!

Bought as power backup. Runs the deep well pump. Refrigerator, and a freezer. The furnace.Even the electric water heater. Of course now the power will never go off.

When I received the generator out of the box it had a broken spark plug head. The performance is great, quality a Honda is a Honda. Value its expensive, you get what you pay for. Overall is very quiet.
