The first year I used this for camping and I had no complaints. It started without a problem and ran nicely.
This year the unit started running poorly, it seems to have a throttle control problem. What you will find if you have any issues is that you're on your own. You won't get any service on it anywhere and parts may get tough to get.

I purchased this McCulloch generator instead of the Honda 2000. I have no issues with the unit to date.
I think it performs as well as the Honda. The facts on some of these reviews though are a bit misleading.
First, the unit is noticeably larger than the Honda. It's also heavier for those that are really concerned about the weight.
While running half throttle or full throttle, I would guess it is roughly 20% louder.
For the money though, I think it's a good buy.

I bought this for powering my motorhome. It has plenty of power to do anything I need it to.
I can run the fridge and all the lights and the water pump without even drawing it down a bit.
In one of the other comments, it was compared to a Honda for noise level. That is the one draw back.
It is a lot louder than a Honda, but for a fourth the cost, I can deal with a little bit of noise.
Don't get me wrong, it is still quiet, but not Honda quiet.

Excellent value in a generator. Compares favourably with Honda, according to one owner of a Honda that listened to mine.

I purchased this generator as a lower cost alternative to a Honda Digital Generator. My primary use is tailgating at football games, so noise is a primary concern. This generator starts and runs great. It is not as quiet as a Honda generator, but is certainly quiet enough to use in a campground or similar situation. The only annoyance thus far is the filter in the throat of the gas tank that requires you to fill it very slowly. Also to be considered is that this generator is actually produced in China by the JennFeng Corporation (a re-badged Talon product) so the availability of spare parts may be a concern down the road.

Ordered generator on the 4th and recived it on the 11th in NC. Works good so far. Using it to power lights for floundering and seems to have plenty of power on eco throttle. Happy with unit so far.

Extremely happy with this unit. Use it in our chalet travel trailer runs the A/C ,coffee maker and charges the battery all at the same time. The throttle control switch allows it to vary its speed as per the load. Very quiet operation. Well put together.
Had a chance to do a side to side comparison with a Honda 2000i. Other than slight difference in the outside case, they seemed to be identical in every way ? Even the manuals look the same. You can't go wrong with this unit and half the price of the big name brands.
