Flexible Fueling Options for your Portable Power Needs
By Ben B.
Powermate Marketing Communications
Review Posted 01/31/2017
Powermate's 3500 watt Dual Fuel Series portable generator offers the convenience and versatility of two fueling options: liquid propane (LPG) or gasoline. With a simple turn of the unit's fuel selector dial, users are able to toggle between either fuel source. Equipped with useful features like electric start capabilities, a digital multimeter that tracks engine run time for required maintenance, and a low oil shutdown feature that helps prevent engine damage, these units provide flexible fueling options and dependable power whether you're at home or on the road.

Issues Running On Propane, Still In Shop
By Charles R.
Milford, Pennsylvania
Purchased 05/23/2020 |
Review Posted 07/07/2020
Generator ran for about 20 minutes on propane. Will not run now. Will run on gasoline, but I need the propane feature. Two shops suggested by Generac would not work on Dual fuel. At third shop now, still waiting. Need to know by this friday as the plan was to use it with my RV and we plan to leave on vacation in 10 days.

Easiness To Run
By Fred M.

Great feature is that it runs either propane or gasoline! Gas tank holds about 2 gallons! I'm guessing it would run all night long! I've got the electric start! Works very well! Usually kicks off with no problem! I like the feature of a starter on-off switch with a separate on-off for the battery! It's nice just to have it around the house in case of any power outages! I use it to keep from rolling out a 150 feet of power cord for my electric weed eater! It is quite heavy, but wheels make it manageable to move around! I picked this particular one because of the middle of the road price!

We recently sold our 32 foot motorhome that had an onboard generator and went with a pick up in a 33 foot Camper We purchased this generator to run the air conditioner as well as other power on our trailer when we are not hooked up at a campground it has worked flawlessly and we love the dual fuel option I would recommend this generator to anybody

We are able to keep out refrigerator operating, computer and router, TV entertainment system and plug in lights using just two 20 ft extension cords an adapters. It is a bit loud but 100 ft from the house is barely noticeable. If the wattage is within your desired range. buy THIS unit. You won't go wrong.

Yes, it is a keeper. Read the book before you put it together, do as it instructs. Run it for an hour neighbors said nothing about it. Run the AC and microwave OK for the RV. Thank you for a good product.

The generator is the best of both design and functionality I have seen. Although it was purchased after Hurricane Irma, and it has not run but for about 20 minutes so far, it seems to do the job very capably with my side-by-side refrigerator. Will have a full report when we need it for a week. (Hope not to have to)

Overall size/portability was a primary consideration. The 6957 is comparably light and compact while still providing all the power we need.
