Was happy with that when I first received it by UPS ground turn it on no problems ran it for about 8 hours everything seemed to work fine the only thing I was upset about I was in Walmart yesterday and seen the same generator for $100 Cheeper and they also had The Powermate 3500 generator looks just like the 1200 mother has a 220 outlet also for $290 so I was a little disappointed on the pricing thought I was getting a good deal which that is cheap wHat I paid i thought oh well live and learn

Bought generator from PED. Got it 1 day later. Surprised when I opened the box and it included everything to operate the generator except the Gasoline. Nice tool kit. 12 volt cables, Even oil to fill the machine.
Put fuel in it. Pulled the starter rope twice and it cranked and ran perfectly. If I need anything that requires the purchase of equipment I'm calling P.E.D. For great service and the best price.

This is an update to my previous review from 11/16/2014, "Can't Be Beat For The Price & Features"
After running for approximately 10 hours intermittently over the last three weeks, I continue to be impressed. Following this break-in period, it now starts on one, occasionally two, pulls with choke on (cold start) and nearly always one pull with choke off (warm start).
I have run it with simultaneous loads - 26 cu ft side-by-side refrigerator, chest freezer, and 12V power pack charger - plugged in without a problem (simultaneous start up load of the refrigerator and freezer was NOT tested this would be nearly impossible to time, but I expect that it would exceed the 1500W surge capacity of the generator).
Regarding size, the generator weighs in at about 50 lb full. I (180lb male in decent shape) have been able to lift and move it with no problem, and also fit in the trunk of my Honda Accord with no problem.
It has not been subjected to heavy, dirty, or extended use. If any issue occurs that cannot be resolved quickly I will certainly provide another update.
One very minor critique: The multi-function display (DC volts, AC frequency, run time) works but is not quite bright enough to be viewed in full sunlight. It can be seen with no problem in less-than-full sunlight or when shaded by the user's hand.
Even at the full price of $270.00, I still recommend it as an essential piece of your emergency or recreational equipment.

Can't Be Beat For the Price & Features

I purchased the Powermate WX 1200-watt two weeks ago during the $188 promo sale, and can't recall having spent a better $188, at least in the recent past. After the initial setup, it started right up and ran flawlessly. After a week of sitting, it started on two pulls cold (choke on), and one pull warm (choke off).
The features are exactly what I was looking for in a generator this size (and hadn't found before this one): (1) A multimeter displaying voltage, frequency, and run time and (2) a 12V direct battery charging port (3) Low fuel consumption with enough power to run the essentials in a power outage.
Last but not least it is quiet for a standard generator. Not quite as quiet as the inverter-type generators, but at 1/3 to 1/5 the cost for the same output, I am very pleased with the value of the purchase.
A separate review will follow after running with various loads.
