I installed this transfer switch to run my gas furnace, 2 refrigerators and a freezer. I didn’t use the inlet plug included because I ran a 30 amp outdoor inlet box that I would plug my generator into. Reliance has YouTube videos that walked me right through the installation.

My application was125v 30A only, indoor. Might suggest a common for both legs for 125v application. Remove common when req'd for 240v.

We have frequent power outages in the mountains. Purchased to pair 3 kw generator. Now I have 4 backed up house circuits. Easy to install with a basic knowledge of panel wiring.

Poor Quality Product
By Charles G.

Purchased 03/18/2019 |
Review Posted 04/11/2019
Internal wiring problems!! After installation...I found the generator load wire had not been tightened! But apparently there were additional connection problems under the cover that was secured with brads. So rather than rip it out and send it back I just used the working circuits which was enough for my needs.

Big price for such poor quality.

Expert Response
Very sorry to hear you're having problems with your switch. Rarely do we hear about problems with these switches. Please understand that during shipping, connections can come loose. We always suggest checking all connections prior to installation.
