These indoor surface mount transfer switches are designed for fast installation in residential and commercial applications. The 18-inch flexible conduit whip attaches easily to the load center and all wires are clearly marked. Simply select the circuits needed in an emergency and connect them to the wire leads. This model feature a rugged powder-coated steel cabinet with six combination 1/2-inch and 3/4-inch knockouts, resettable branch rated circuit breakers and non-defeatable double-throw switches. This model is intended for use with a generator up to 7500watts. With this transfer kit you can run power to 10 total circuits; six 15-Amp (120 Volts) and two 20-Amp (240 Volts).

The product is definitely of quality and works as advertised. One issue in my case was that the pigtail wires for each circuit that are connected in the panel box were too short and needed to be added to in several cases. The other issue is the length of flexible conduit that is provided. It was also too short in my case and most suppliers do not sell that product by the foot. Clearly it would not have been feasible to purchase a whole roll to gain the extra 10” I needed. A good solution to both of these problems is for the company to offer the product with options for how long the wires need to be.

This kit exceeded all my expectations. It even included all the wire nuts, which I didn’t expect. Was very easy to install and use. I would suggest taking lots of time to plan and prepare by following the instructions and first identify and label the 10 circuits you want to use in the transfer switch. That makes the installation go quicker and avoids errors. You will need to purchase the correct size and length of wire for the generator plug connection.
I’m using this kit with a Generac 8KW portable generator. The whole project was easy and went smoothly. I highly recommend this kit for anyone with a little bit of technical ability and understanding. I’m an engineer (not electrical) and it was a fun project.

I have this unit paired up with my ecoflow solar generator. Two delta pro and two extra batteries, a combined total of 14,400kwh of stored power. Which is connected to a double voltage hub that can make 240v. The hub has a 4 prong inlet that connects straight to the transfer switch and can run 240v or 120v appliances. “Pretty much can power my whole (midsize single family house) house, I use 2 30 amp switches for the water heater “ didn’t need to connect the electric stove and AC unit. “Too much of a wattage draw”. For the cloudy or rainy days I have a back up GAS generator to recharge my batteries or if i choose to run my gas generator to power the house, I can do that too. This transfer switch gives me peace of mind knowing my family will be comfortable when there’s a power outage. Strongly recommend it
