This 10-gauge cord holds up to 7500 watts at 240 volts. You can connect your portable generator to a manual transfer switch which is wired to your electrical panel allowing you to power circuits instead of running extension cords..
When going with this length of cord, you should have a power inlet box close to where your generator is going to be running.

Purchased 3/16/2023. Excellent heavy duty cord. Only issue is the ends are not molded rubber like the picture displayed online. Not a big deal but would have liked molded rubber ends. Still better than other cords seen online.

Review Of My Purchase

This was purchased to connect my generator to my breaker box in the event of a power outage. (generator is hardwired to panel) I have not had to use it and hope I don't. It is a well made product and the price is a good value. The company was good to deal with and responded to my needs well.

Does The Job

I was in need of a long HD extension cord for my emergency generator. I have a Reliance transfer switch and decided to go with a matching brand to avoid any connection issues. On my test run the cord length was correct, I originally thought that the cord might be a bit stiff and hard to manage however, that was not my case. It did the job that I expected, was well made and easy to handle.

I got the product quickly. Using the their online videos with step-by-step instructions, it was easy to install, from the outside plug all the way into the power panel. It was like someone was showing me in person. You will need some #10/4 wire cable to run from outside plug to the switchbox, but it couldn't be easier. I'm happy I purchased from them. I recommend it!

Hello
I have a 20 foot generator cord. Reliance Controls PC3020 20Feet 30 Amp L1430 Generator Power Cord for Up to 7,500Watt Generators. it is too short. Can I buy a second 20 foot cord to extend the original to 40ft? is this safe?

I have a Generac GP 5500 portable, and I want to connect it to my power inlet box to supply power to my house in case of an emergency. The issue I have is my power inlet box is a 50 amp instead of 30, so the female end of the cord needs to be a 50amp 3 prong instead of the 30 amp 4 prong. The question is if I purchased this cord, could I buy a 50 amp adapter with a female end to replace the one on this cord?
