The meter was very easy to install. So far, I have almost 3 hours run time on my new Snapper riding mower. In addition to lube oil color to decide changeout the hours of run time is important, as well.
In addition if you decide to sell your lawn mower you can give a precise runtime on the engine to the buyer.
It is a good investment.

Easy to Install, But Will it Last?

The unit was for an Ariens 19-HP lawn tractor. It looks good, was easy to install, and seems to work very well.
My only question is - will it last? The unit is sealed, with no way to to replace or recharge its battery.
Since I typically keep a lawn tractor for 8-to-10 years, will this unit still be working 10-years from now? Hmmmmm? We'll see.

According to the manufacturer they do say the hour meter will last approximately 10 years at which time the unit would have to be replaced. If you have any other concerns about the product you can always call them direct at 855-294-3800.

Ordered on Thursday arrived on Friday. Took longer to position generator and get tools to install meter than it did installing it. They only thing is if you don't know how to install it there is a label of some kind put over the directions.

I liked the installation instructions - easy to understand. I only have .2 on it so far. Installed on a new ZTR Simplicity, and only got to use it for the first 5 hour oil change run up. Grass about done here in Lancaster Co. PA. Have to wait until next Spring for further running. Looks good so far.

First off, I am a real customer and this is a real review.
It's a good mower. I recommend it. I have a typical house 2k on a 10k lot. I have mowed my own lawn since I was a boy and my son has been mowing it for the last three years. I got tired of fixing sprinklers that I didn't break and took back the job to find that this old back wasn't quite up for the challenge. I'm in great shape but I fear I may have a herniated disc in my upper back and being 6'5 bending over behind the push mower really aggravates it. I did a ton of research and in the end I am completely satisfied with my purchase and whom I decided to purchase it from.
Typically I would empty the bag on the push mower 5-6 times and all that dirt and grass would cause my allergies to flare up horribly to the point where I found myself showering between mowing the front and back to help alleviate the symptoms. Now I can come home on my lunch hour, mow the front and back, empty the dual bags, and go back to work with out even having to change my shoes. I literally can wear my dress shoes if I wanted to.

Bumper for MY Snapper Lawn Tractor

Today, I installed the new double bar front bumper on my 2012 Snapper SPX 22/46 lawn tractor. Installation was very simple and only took a few minutes. I am very pleased with the strength and appearance of the bumper. I also installed the SenDEC hour meter. Again, installation was easy, and it works very well.
I received both items promptly and in good condition from Mowers Direct. All of the necessary parts and directions were included in the packaging. No drilling of holes is required for installing the bumper.
