Going on 8 years as an electrician this is the only product that I have found that is perfect for a 240v 30 amp well. Simple and affordable. I will definitely use more for wells applications.

Used to Connect Generator to Well Pump
By MontanaBota
Montana
Purchased 09/30/2024 |
Review Posted 10/21/2024
Transfer switch is well made with thick gauge steel, high quality paint, and 10 gauge copper wire. I gave it four stars because the bracket that holds the switch is flimsy plastic and did not hold the switch securely. Easily fixed with epoxy added to the back side of the switch.

Just What I Needed
By Ruel E

My water supply for my home is via a drilled well. Thus when we loose power, no water. I bought this so I could run my 8500w generator with 220v supply and power the well pump. Works perfect and was easy to install and wire. This identical box is $250 plus shipping on Amazon, so thanks to this supplier, some decent money was saved too.

Switches Are Weak
By Eric D
Illinois
Purchased 05/09/2024 |
Review Posted 05/31/2024
The product functions as planned, however using slide terminals on the switches with 10awg wire is not the best option in my opinion. The terminals are loose from the factory, when you tighten them, you run the risk of breaking the slide terminal (I've done this). A screw terminal of some type would be better.

Exactly What I Needed - But Expensive
By David B
Florida
Purchased 09/12/2023 |
Review Posted 10/06/2023
I bought this to allow my small (4000 watt) generator to power two circuits in my house in case of power outages (hurricane risk mainly here in FL). It works exactly as expected. It is fairly heavy and seems well built. I needed a TT-30P to L14-30R converter cable to match-up the connection on my generator.

The part arrived quickly. My only negative comment is on the price. It doesn't seem like something this simple should cost nearly $200. That said, I couldn't find a good alternative and this is doing the job.

Transfer Switch For Pool Equipment
By Allan M
Texas
Purchased 01/10/2023 |
Review Posted 07/19/2023
I purchased this Transfer Switch to run my pool equipment when the power goes out and water is freezing. It is easy to install. I mounted it outside next to the electrical box for pool cut off switch. Was perfect size for my pool pumps that draw 9 amps. I just have to plug in my portable generator and throw the manual transfer switch.

Product Questions Answered by Jared, the Generator Expert
Can the cover be locked? I've looked for pictures on line but am unable to find any with sufficient detail of the latch. I'd like to use a small lock (think luggage lock) on the latch in order to keep curious children...or adults for that matter, from being able to open it. Thank you, Tracy

Will this work for connecting to 30 amp dryer circuit, backfed to 100 amp panel? I have a 7500 watt generator for emergency power outage and only use about once a year.

Will this work for a residence? I am only looking to put the transfer switch inline between the meter and the main panel. Would like the ability to switch to a generator feed during power outages (turning off most breakers and only using essentials. I have a 7500 watt generator with 2 30amp plugs Thanks
