Would Love To Find Substitute Oil Filter

I would LOVE it if someone could tell me here what an equiv. oil filter would be for this. (brand and filter number, for example). I'm not at the end of the first oil filter's life yet, but I would like to have one on the shelf. This generator is well built and runs my whole home including central air. Only problem is not being able to find the darn replacement filter.

I purchase this generator and i cannot get it to start. I call the company waited for 60 minutes on the phone then to be told of another number to call. Still don't start

Many of these small engines use size similar filters and are not proprietary. Just measure it and you should be able to find a compatible filter.

CAT RP12000E - Reliable Back-Up Power For Larger Rural Homes

We bought our CAT RP12000E a year ago to serve as back-up power supply for a 5,000 sqft rural home in Oregon. Our water is supplied by a well and our thermal-loop HVAC system and water heater are all electric. We connect the generator to our home with two lines, one 50-amp and one 30-amp. With some reasonable planning, we can run nearly everything. Overall, the RP12000E is well-built. The fuel valve is plastic and I have read of them breaking, but I have not had that problem. The generator starts quickly in the mild 20-degree weather we have here and has run without issue.
It's louder than smaller generators but that's to be expected. Fuel consumption is reasonable and the tank size is ample. I recently performed the first oil change and found the used oil very clean and free of any visible bearing material. adding oil to the engine required a funky articulated plastic funnel which is supplied but tricky to use. I think I can make something better. The fold-out handle makes it reasonably easy to move despite the unit's hefty weight. So far I'm very pleased with it.
