Chinese Engine That Nobody Will Service

Only two years old and unit runs rough and surges constantly unless choked. Nobody will repair it they all say it’s some kind of junky Chinese engine and want nothing to do with it. Called their customer support and they have a chain of dodgy repair shops that are an hour away. My advice but a unit with a known brand engine like Kohler or Briggs and Stratton

I have unpacked the unit and test started it. The instructions were clear. The unit has all of the features I thought I'd need and it is well built. It is laud.
It is easy to mover around with the weight balance and the handle. The engine is huge so I can see why it is electric start. Keeping a battery around and charged looks like the most difficult task so far.
I still have to connect it to the house but so far so good. I have not put any time on the unit so I'm not sure about the recommendation. I have to check a box to get this published so I chose yes.

Great quality for the money. Well built and easy to move around due to good wheel placement even though it is 400 pounds. Also, it is no louder than our much smaller generator.

We recently received the Cat generator and are waiting on our electrician to install our transfer switch. Thus we can't comment about the product until we can test it. We wanted a commercial grade product like this. EGD was great. Due to hurricane issues these are in demand and hard to get.
Set up was easy. My only issue is that access to fill with oil is difficult and should be addressed in future designs.
We were without power for 11 days with Irma at our home and 7 days at our business.
