The reason you don't want a generator right next to you is peace and quiet. Of course home applications don't make sense. But if you want to hold briefings in the desert, while powering your X-box and AC with out the interruption of a noisy 5k diesel... buy this sucker. Plus I have soldiers to do the lifting. Makes it easy.

The truth is Generator location is not always a simple task when you are constantly moving from site to site.

A fine product if you need it, but why is your generator 100 feet from your power inlet? Save $$$ and having to deal with a very heavy cord. Move your generator or reinstall your power inlet. THINK about this. Also, this is very heavy to lift and carry around. You need a good helper.
