Your company was the BEST! The purchase of my generator was one of the easiest I've had the pleasure of making. And I had never seen the price so low since I've been researching this model, couldn't pass up this deal that also came with an additional 5 year warranty and free shipping. It is now installed and although no power outages have occurred since my purchase and install the unit kicks on at exactly the right time for its weekly test.

The only negative was the carrier, Old Dominion, they were a complete disaster.

The generator arrived on time when stated, and in good condition. Your delivery contractor provided lift gate service, and moved the unit as far up my driveway as he could, (him pulling the pallet jack and me pushing). Could not ask for better delivery service.

I ordered the cold weather kit, and was surprised to learn upon reading the enclosed info sheet that I would have to change the 30W Organic Oil to 5W30 Full Synthetic Oil. After the unit was positioned on the pea gravel base for a few days, I checked the oil level and it was as supposed to be, full and clean.

It did not have the look, color, feel or odor of organic oil. I contacted Generac, and they assured me that the unit was shipped with 30W organic oil, and that their policy had not changed.

Your office was contacted asking if I could use locally obtained, 5W30 Full Synthetic Oil, vs. the Generac branded oil without my warranty being adversely affected. I was glad to be assured that I could use the 5W30 Full Synthetic Oil of my choice. That was great news, and I purchased two (2) quarts of Mobil 1, changed the provided oil filter, and my locally purchased oil, hooked up and installed the cold weather kit heater matts, (everything fit, tight but fit, including the wire routing).

The Propane company came out, Tuesday, and did the install of the supply line to the generator, added a regulator, purged the lines, leak tested and pressure tested, and the everything was already set according to the install manual. Placed the NG/LP orange selector lever to the LP position, (would have been nice to have better photographs or drawings of this).

The battery was connected and the unit was authorized, and programmed. Set for LP, and switched to manual and the unit started the first time. Smooth running engine. Again great news. Did all the checks with the Automatic Transfer Switch and all was good.

My unit was set up to do a by-weekly, (that word can mean twice a week or every two weeks/every other week), programmed operational run test at 2:00 PM Wednesday. It came on, ran and shut down automatically. Again all was good.

Flawless operation.

It would be nice if the product had been provided with an external box pre-connected to the internal dual 100 amp breakers, neutral, and ground, buss/block (very tight fit using #2 AWG cable to my remote Automatic Transfer Switch). The neutral and ground terminal blocks were easy to get at for additional wiring, as were the push to connect AC inputs, and DC control inputs.

We recently had sever flooding in the Baton Rouge area and my generator of a little more than a year old was affected. In case in would be unrepairable, I ordered another one and it is received. If it is repairable, I plan to return the new one for credit, paying the return freight. I have called the sales person (Bruce) that I dealt with several times to discuss the possible return of the unit and he has never returned my calls. It's been two weeks now!

This is my 3rd Generac generator by no fault of Generac, my first two were hit by lightning, I guess I have bad luck. I would recommend Generac again!

Bought this unit last Winter along with the transfer switch for client living in Puget Sound. They had a basement flood the season before when the power was out and their sump pump flooded the basement. This unit is easy to install, started right up, our electrician had hooked up these before so the wiring was simple and the owners are very happy. I bought the remote monitoring device and it works great - I get an email and a text every time the unit operates or runs it's maintenance cycle every 2 weeks. I'm putting together a bid for a solar install in our mountains now and am shopping for another unit as a power backup. A good experience overall.

I did a lot of research prior to purchasing the 22kw Generac. I also did a lot of research on where to purchase the generator. I had options from my electrician, a turn key company where I live or the internet. I picked Electric Generators Direct because of the price, no tax, free shipping with liftgate service and the customer service has been great. They respond to emails fast and answer questions quickly. I am so pleased with our purchase. Everything is hooked up and works like a champ. We have not had the electricity go out yet but you can flip the switch on the transfer switch and it purrs like kitten. Thanks for everything.

It works great!

Wanted to replace a liquid cooled generator with a less noisy one. The new 22 kW was the perfect replacement.

We purchase this generator in January 2016 after being without power during an ice storm and later a blizzard. We went a total of 9 days. Well we had our 1st power outage today for the power company to work on lines. It worked great! We like that it comes on every Saturday. That give you assurance that we won't be in the dark the next power outage.

We live in a very rural area of south central PA. When bad weather hits we have power outages, sometimes lasting 12 hours or longer. I purchased the 22 KW unit because it will run all of our home including the 5 ton heat pump. The unit starts right up, runs well and does not flinch if the heat pump turns on. Overall the install was relatively easy, just remember you have to have a level and drained sight to install the item, you have to run the correct size gas line to it and you have to run the proper size wire. Buy one, you will love it, I promise.
