Finally got it all installed. Had to remove the old one, set up a new base area and placed it, pipe in the gas. Had brother in law hook up the wires and new transfer box, he’s a electrician and Generac certified the test was done and good 🙂

I only wish that it was a bit quieter. It is installed and connected to natural gas and electric. We hope to not need it. I think of it as trip insurance. When I am away the heat wills stay on, the refrigerator will continue to run and there will be lights. The transfer switch / circuit breaker panel has a removable cover rather than a hinged cover. I understand this works well outside (it is rated for outdoor use) and saves money for the manufacturer but having to remove the cover to even see the circuit breakers is a minor annoyance. I may leave it off so that my wife does not need to struggle with that. The package included exactly what was needed for an easy installation.
