Second time I’ve ordered this maintenance kit & it’s reassuring to get with the confidence that everything I need is correct. I believe that it MAY be possible to get individual items cheaper but the convenience of ordering the kit is well worth it.

My kit was missing one spark plug - called support and the nice lady gave me a couple options for replacement. After my somewhat long call, I chose to have a replacement plug sent to me. A few days later I received an email asking for the following (again)

Please respond to this email with the following:
The serial number of the unit and the engine.
A photo of the product label showing the serial number
A description of the missing part(s).
If available, the part number(s).
Once we've received your response, one of our product experts will review the information and determine how best to resolve the issue.

I did not respond thinking this must be in error since so already gave all that information on the phone, and a week or two later after not responding, they closed my case, without the simple replacement spark plug for my unit, which is part of their maintenance kit (they should know what’s in the kit without interrogating their customers)
I purchased my original generator from these folks with no problems but in my opinion, their follow up on replacing this part has been terrible and very time consuming. I could have purchased 20 spark plugs from my time wasted on this endeavor, but if a company can’t follow through on the small things, maybe they are not so interested in keeping clients happy after all. Terrible service on this one!!!

Very sorry your maintenance kit arrived with missing parts. Please let us apologize for any confusion this previous email caused. The original parts case has been resolved and the part will be shipping out to you. We do stock individual parts such as a spark plug, so this part had to be ordered directly from Kohler, which resulted in the delay.

The product was fine. It's a little pricey compared to what you might expect to spend for automotive equivalents, but you pay for the convenience of an all-in-one package. Everything fit perfect and it is an easy job. The amazing part, which is why I'm bothering to take the time to write the review, is the outstanding communication from the seller. I don't think there is anything I have bought on-line where they kept me so informed.
