One Person Portable

Generator is perfect for our use of running pressure washers and different pumps on jobsites were there isn't any power available, 120 volts at 20 amps will run anything you throw at it. We purchased it for its small size and one person portability.
The generator likes to tip over when transporting so I added a bracket on the engine mount and upgraded the bolts to 3/8" for the carry handle. See picture, this solved the tip over issue.

This is a nice little generator. I put a kill-a-watt meter on it and perfect. It's about 62H z with no load and 122 volts respectively. Load it up and it holds 60hz and 120 volts no problem. Overall I'm happy, it works.

Its a Suby!

It ran great for about a week and a half. Then it seemed to have bad gas. After a 2 day work stoppage, getting known good gas to the jobsite to test it. Turned out to be dirt in the fuel line, despite a screen at the filler AND a filter on the pickup in the tank. A tear-down of the carb and a can of carb cleaner got things working again. Like all generators, they seem great at first. Check back in 2-5 years. Then you'll know if it's junk or not.
But I have high hopes for this unit. Subaru makes excellent gear. I'm formally trained as an engineer, build supercars as a hobby, and actually used to sell Subaru cars. I bought this unit just for the motor. The first thing I found online was a subaru motor for $319, and I looked no further. At first i couldn't understand how it could run without tipping over. Now i understand. Its a subaru, it runs smooth. Other nice touches are the overhead cam design, and the Mikuni carb. Generator section appears to be of high quality. Fit and finish are high quality as well (assembled in USA).

Ordered the generator as an emergency power supply for when we travel in our 5th wheel RV. It arrived extremely fast since we live not too far away. Put oil in it. Put gas in it. Pulled the starter one time and it started. Tried it with several power tools including a 1-1/2 hp air compressor. Works great. Hope it will give me years of service.

I love this generator
By Dave

I love this generator. I owned a similar one for years and that is why I purchased this one. I need a generator I can carry without assistance, and that can easily fit into the trunk of my car.
I use a generator when I work shooting fireworks. When the display is over I need power to run the lights, so this is perfect.
When I am not using it for work I use it to power my furnace and some lighting during power failures. I installed a furnace transfer switch.
It takes up very little storage room in my shed. The price is right and the power is adequate.
