Strong Yet Flexible Power Cord
By Anthony C.

Review Posted 09/10/2020
I purchased a GP8000E Generac portable generator from Electric Generators Direct and had an electrician install a manual transfer switch in my home for it. Needed this 50-ft Reliance 30-amp power cord so that the generator could be positioned far from the house in my backyard so that there is no danger of carbon monoxide anywhere near my house or my neighbor's house. With the cord being that long, I was concerned that it would be too cumbersome to roll back up for storage or not durable. This cord feels very durable yet maintains a great flexibility so it is fairly easy to roll back up for storage. I might add that the 4-Prong connectors seem to be constructed very well. Hopefully, the storms will stay away so I won't have to use it. I highly recommend.

Finally got to truly use it after 5 years of sitting on a hook in the garage. Worked exactly as expected with no defects or issues. Ordering a second one this week to get more length.

When I made my purchase, It was right before Christmas and I thought I would see the product after the new year. Was I surprised to actually receive the product in four working days, two days before I actually needed to use it.
The cord is a very high quality heavy duty cord with sturdy ends (not the flimsy ends I've seen so many times). Excellent product, excellent turnaround on order to receipt, and so easy to order. Well done, gentlemen!

My generator is 8kW. The manual calls for a "NEMA L14-30" cord, but the specs on this cord say "7500 watt max". Why? Will this cord work?
