Reliance Controls THP205 Reviews & Ratings
If you live in an area with a basement and you lose power, usually your first thought is about your basement flooding. Your sump pit is probably located in your basement or crawl space. The good part about that is you don't have to hear it when it runs. The bad part is that you'll usually find out too late if it doesn't work. When I say too late I mean, after the sump pit is overflowing.
There's a simple and inexpensive solution to that problem, a Water Alarm.
For under $20, you can purchase a device that will detect water where it's not supposed to be.
Most of these devices have a loud audible alarm that you can hear even from the 2nd floor of your home.
In my opinion, an hour of lost sleep is better than waking up to 3 inches of water in your basement.

Seems To Have Shorted Out After 2 Months

The alarm goes off constantly, even when removed from the sump and dry for days. Tried new battery, but the alarm goes off whenever it's switched on now.

Very sorry about the issues you're having with the water alarm. I'd suggest contacting Reliance directly, this type of issue should be covered under warranty. Reliance Contact Phone & Email

Works well. Made cheaply but the price seems to be in line with its quality. The alarm is not very loud enough. I hope I will hear it if there should be a problem. One plus is that its easy to install.

Sump Alarm

I have 2 pumps and I thought if one went out then the alarm would go off but I was wrong. They both have to go before the alarm goes off so what good does that do me. The basement would be flooded by the time We could get another one in. Do I make sense to you?

This sounds like the water sensor was not installed low enough in the sump pit to activate the alarm.

I love my water pump because of its flood alert feature.
It is loud, and wall mountable.
