I haven't really used it except to try it out. The remote works well. I did power a building to check output. I have purchased a 50 ft, 50 amp ext cable with the intent of installing a 50 amp outlet and transfer switch. I plan on powering my 2500 sq ft house in emergency power outages.

Generator looks grand and runs great, but there are some minor points that need to be fixed. The oil dipstick is terrible. It’s difficult to pull out & then put back in. Had to bend dipstick to use because it’s hidden beyond part of the frame. This is important since you need to check the oil level so often during use. Second , solve the floating/bonded neutral issue. The illustration in manual is not accurate as it is from from a single cylinder generator like 10500Tfc, not a dual cylinder. This could easily be fixed by having the exact description for this generator. Also color coding the wires would also help. Third, through trail & error, I was was able to find a replacement oil filter (Briggs & Stratton 5049). I could not find one listed in the manual. Fourth, customer service at Westinghouse is terrible. I’m still waiting for a callback or email from a week and half ago when I was only #6 on wait list. It seems to me Westinghouse goes out of their way not to do any thing except threaten to warn you that your warranty is void if you do anything, even if it’s called for in the manual. I know these complaints may seem small, but it is irritating to get so little help.

So I haven't been able to run the generator yet because I don't have my NG tapped yet, and I really don't want to put gas in it, so I rated 4 on perormance because it's an unknown. I do, however, appreciate the build quality, and the battery maintainer and extended drain plug are nice features.

What an upgrade from our previous gasoline powered 10.5Kw unit! Not only do I have an unlimited fuel supply right at the house (Natural Gas), but the machine is capable of powering the entire house including the 4.5 ton air conditioner. Being in an area that's hurricane prone, we typically lose power during the very warm summer months so having AC is very important. If you're on the fence, take the leap and give this generator a shot.

I wanted to like this so much, but it came with a faulty fuel selector knob from the factory. They are sending me out another one. But having to uninstall and re-install a new one should not be my problem. They’re not even paying me for this.

Received this gen several weeks ago , box was damaged so i feared the worse. But once opening the box it was all intact, i was amazed by this beast. Put the wheels and handles on in about 10 minutes and began the break In period. About to actually test it very soon, can’t wait to see it do it’s magic.

Haven't cranked it up yet, but it is all set up and ready to go at first power outage thanks to JARED'S vast knowledge at "Electric Generators Direct". He set me up with the correct transfer switch, power cord etc. After extensive research of the wgen 14500tfc unit i am sure it will perform well for me. It is powered by the power house v-twin 713cc engine which was designed for commercial units. This machine also runs with less than 5% (thd) which is safe for running TV's, computers and other technical devices. also has many other quality features.
